Best card for 3d projector?

hey guys im building a SFF system for my 3d projector and cant decide what card to put into it. Im looking at a cheaper dual core set up with probablly 2 or 4 gb of memory and alot of drives.

The computer will be used to drive a 3d projector along with being a HS for all of our movies and maby some games here and there.

Does anyone know how much horsepower it takes to drive one of those projectors in 3d? I want to keep the price down and was looking at either the low end 4 series of cards 450/460 768mb or maby a 550Ti. Or do you guys think I should look at a nicer card say maby a 470

Thanks for the help I cant seem to find much on this.

470's are super cheap right now, it certainly wouldn't hurt to grab one of them (used from OCN, otherwise overpriced new on the web)- I'd say a 460 would definitely do the trick though at a lower price point (1GB has much better performance than the 768mb one) - 550ti or 450 would be lacking in oomph for games but would be fine for keeping up with movies.

thanks for the help Im kind of leaning towards the 460 768mb as they can be had for $120 on the egg if you catch them. Ive seen the 470s on there for $200 to tho lol hmm decisions decisions.

The games wont be in 3d tho (atleast not now) Im going to use third party software to do the 3d movies instead of nvidia stuff. Would I need a larger psu if i went with the 470 over the 460? (looking at a 600w 80+ right now

If this is anything like Nvidia 3D Vision on monitors hardware performance wise and if it's mostly for movies, you don't need a strong card at all. I actually ran a 9500GT for 3D movies for like a week waiting for my step up and it worked fine. Grab a 460 or 470 if you wanna do some casual 3D gaming.
