Refresh rate question

Thread Starter
So I got a question concerning refresh rate of this monitor.

http://www.iiyama-monitors.co.uk/pro...210HDS-B1.aspx

The link states a vertical sync of 55-75hz for this screen.

When I go into configuration screen the refresh rate is automatically locked on 60hz. But is it safe to change it to 75hz? That's what it claims to be capable of on their website right?

Try it out, it won't break it -- at worst it just won't display anything for the 20 seconds or so.

OK, so I tried 70hz and it did what you said. 20 seconds black screen: "out of range". So this got me wondering why the website mentions 55-75hz... Just want to know what's behind these numbers.

yup, I agree with the others -- many times manufacturers will claim certain specs but do not always state under what conditions those specs were achieved. Try lowering the resolution and then upping the refresh.

You guys were right. I can hit 75hz on 800*600. I prefer 60hz on 1080p though. ;p Cheers
