I thought the suit was the main character in the game. It did everything. In C1, Nomad wore the suit, and in C2 the suit wore Alcatraz. It kept him alive and was the vital in the plot.

Also, I found the suit to be chatty and cheesy at times. When the suit forms a digital face and says "Get back into the fight" and "That's what I'm talking about", it got a big LOL and thumbs down from me.

Umm I didn't notice the 2D Particles (Which aren't all of them by the way, some are volumetric). I can also tell you I wasn't looking at the sky the whole time XD.

Crytek missed the point.

Wasn't here at release, don't care.

Wrong dude! Camarillo did. They claimed it several times (DX11). They said the PC version would be much better than console which isn't the case obviously.

A whopping 5% of people have Dx11 so don't feel like you're the only one missing out.

You knew it wasn't available at launch, so you can't get mad at him for that.

The PC version is much better than the console version, and that's before the Dx11 patch.

You know, I'm not going to deny it that for a small portion of people, the immersion factor might have taken a small hit with poor quality trash in the water. I think they should have simply NOT put the trash there.

My point is that to obsess over it and take a screen shot completely dismisses the bigger picture that you'll spend exactly 3 seconds actually looking at that trash when running, jumping, shooting, sliding, fighting aliens, etc.

And it's not like we're in water that often anyways.

This I disagree with terribly.
I still have YET to play MP because it's so damn broken with all the login problems but I did play beta on both PS3 and 360 and it was terribad in comparison. Completely unoriginal and boring. Not worth a brain cell even without the problems (which basically I got ripped off for, I bought half a working game) and puts the first Crysis MP to shame. Crysis Wars was a great concept. It just needed work and fine tuning. Mods the players made actually made the game work great and tons of fun. The devs, instead of putting the time into it like they should have, decided to scrap it for unoriginal generic FPS horse crap. We're talking leaps BACKWARDS.
Crytek seriously pissed me off with their MP.
Really?! Crysis 2 has 3 main game modifiers ( standard, pro and classic ) and 6 different game modes! ( CTF, CTP, TDM, DM, Assault & Extraction ).

I don't get people who say this game is generic or inoriginal. The nanosuit adds such a huge dimension of play that you don't have to deal with in any other game. Play through classic mode, then play standard or pro and you can clearly understand. On TOP of the combat system you have to skillfully use the nanosuit. You have to learn how to switch in and out of stealth to armored at precisely the right times. You have to know exactly how much stealth + running you can do before you're fully exposed.

I mean, isn't one of the main reason that crysis was successful is its system-killer graphics?
But they only did that for 1 game. Why should they pigeon holed for 1 game?

At first glance, Crysis 1 SEEMED successful, but really wasn't. Including Crysis:Warhead, it sold 1 million after the first quarter of release, 3 million total 2 yrs later. So 2/3rds of sales were either for the expansion or at bargain bin pricing. Minus out the retailers' take, EA's take, production costs and distribution costs and you can see how 15 people pirating the game for every 1 legit buyer hurt the likelihood that Crytek would cater towards us ever again.
