What i can't understand is how shogun 2 people were able to patch in Dx11 months before the crysis 2 people despite both the games being released on the same week.

In anycase I have been paitently waiting for DX 11 to come out so that i can start playing Crysis 2. Hopefully it'll look nice.

Realism, shaders, lighting, overall "holy **** awesome" feeling? Crysis 2 blows it's predecessors out of the water in those aspects. A campaign that lasts longer than 4 hours, massive multiplayer features, etc put Crysis 2 leagues ahead of previous titles. Especially the last couple of missions, jesus christ they were mind-blowing (especially the floating park)...how can you even COMPARE those to the missions in the previous games??

Yes, I'm a little bit peeved off at the textures as well and my GTX580 waits for a challenge - but unless you LOVE zooming into the pixels and staring at grass/leaves/rocks for long periods of time (you know, instead of playing the game)...I don't know how anyone can complain about the overall visuals.

That being said, WOOOT FINALLY MORE REASSURING NEWS ABOUT DX11!
This. Nicely stated....

They're a company out to make profits. The marketing people probably said that march is best time to release so they targeted march.

If they can get the game patched properly with dx 11 & HD textures then the 'hardcore' crowd will naturally come back to this.

6950s and 6970s scale better than 560s and 570s now. AMD holds a better bang for buck, their drivers are ALOT better now(I never used 5xxx or any previous HD series before) than what I heard, and they are just sexy. That being said I believe Nvidia still holds the sub 200 market(I loved my 460 to death) and the 580 also holds the 400+ market.

It's been like this since 69xx came out. AMD put more money into scaling than into being behind games this time, and came out for dual card users like myself in favour. 5xxx series sucked.
