New mech

Thread Starter
Hello everyone,

I'm on the fence about buying a new filco tenkeyless majistouche with brown switches, I was just wondering if anyone had any comments about the keyboards quality and "performance", I'm also considering getting a set of the black on black keys from tank guys just cause they look better and I've heard filco keys get shiny super quick.

Thanks for any input.

Browns are great switches . I have no doubt that you'll be happy. Those PBT caps look SWEET on the Filco too.

I also have a question regarding my tenkeyless EK Leopold's compatibility with the tankguy PBT keycaps. I compared the Filco spacebar with the Leopold spacebar and the stabilizer slots are different both different distances from the center of the spacebar. I know that the PBT keycaps are compatible with the Filco, but does this mean it won't be compatible for my Leo?

Nope. Unless they've changed it. KBC PBT on top, Filco on bottom.

Anybody know if it is OCN labelled on the Spacebar? Or the Duck? Doesn't look like it on the pics.

From the photos on TankGuys it looks like the PBT keycaps are unprinted on the spacebar, not even a Ducky logo; could be wrong, though.

IIRC, those little stabilizer thingys can be removed and reinserted into a different one as required (they use the same style of slot as the switch sliders)

I am using a Filco brown and I like it.

My Filco keyboard is excellent in quality and build. They are steady enough for me when touch typing. I am not into games.

The keycaps are very smooth and become shiny after 3-4 months of heavy use, but that is normal to all keyboards.

You can always replace the keycaps whenever you want. The switches remain the same.

If you're getting the filco new, think about the ninja version. You wouldn't have to buy a separate set of keycaps that way.
