Having a video card will help with the virtu which if I spelled it right will allow you to switch between integrated and your video card. Supposedly helps you encode better too. Z68 also has ssd caching which p67 doesn't.

But, virtu is Windows-only, right? If you also use Linux, then the feature won't work, right?

Does anyone know what the cheapest discrete cards are for ATI and Nvidia which are better than the Intel HD 3000?

If one goes with a P67 mobo and need a card, I was wondering what the cheapest video card is that is on par or even slightly better than the HD 3000 graphics.

That is probably a strange question but I have more where that came from....lol!

What is your budget and what are you aiming to do with the computer? Don't get talked into a rig you don't need! if you only need integrated graphics then don't buy a video card.

Again, just tell us what you plan to do with the machine and we can tailor something to suit you.
