Alternative to ConvertXtoDVD?

I love this program. I really do. Simple, has plenty of options, you can't go wrong.

Well, maybe.

I don't have a 6-core processor to convert video so slowly like this. Or at such a low bitrate. This is the latest build. 4.1.19.365, video conversion is set to "real-time", yet its still so slow.

So is there an alternative to this program I can use for burning DVD's easily and that can actually utilize all cores and clock speeds?

You need to enable 6 cores in the settings. Mine isn't slow and it uses a lot more of my processor.

btw: any way you look at it convertxtodvd is fast. 10 years ago before that program or winavi was around it was taking me 2 plus hours to convert an avi movie to dvd with tmpgenc

I use FAVC http://sites.google.com/site/favcfavc/home it maxes out my CPU 100% Under encoding options set cpu cores to 4. I use the HC encoder for the video encoding.

Oh god I didn't even see the 6 core setting. I feel like a fool now.

Just tested it an it works better, 250fps rather than 200 like before. But its still only 50-60% on the cores. I'm glad I found that but still kinda disappointing its not using more resources. Its plenty fast, but sometimes I need to do it on the fly and whatnot. I'll try out that other program. Thanks to both of you
