Why is this monitor so cheap?

Thread Starter
Ok so I was looking to get a new monitor to replace my 19" 1440x900 current monitor..

I stumbled across this
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/245165

Well known brand (LG)
21.5"
1920x1080
Standard 5ms response time
£89.99

To me, this seems really cheap? Maybe I'm wrong. Can anyone point out any faults with this monitor, or advise a better deal? If not I'm going to buy this right now..

Thanks.

looks like a fine monitor....not sure what that price is in US dollars but I don't see a reason not to go for it. there may be higher quality screens out there but this is still a good deal

At that price it's a decent deal, however VGA only might be a turn-off. As to why the price is so low, who know, maybe excess stock they're trying to get rid of?

It's not really a low price for the monitor. U.S. $ to £ conversion currently has it sitting at $148.05 U.S. It also seems to be discontinued, as there are only 2 websites stateside that have them in stock. No major retailers at all, only small sites I've never heard of. That probably is the reason it's cheap. Closeout pricing.

IIRC, electronics are generally more expensive overseas, so it's not that bad of a deal for them. In the US it's a bit pricey for what you get, but not incredibly terrible.
