it is probably the shipping company who bent it.

I always buy Asus as they have been good to me. They just recently repaired my bricked Video Cards (at my fault) for free.

I have never had a faulty mobo from them. So far I have used 11 mobo from Asus.

Wow that's is wrong!

Call their support and ask to speak a supervisor..If he's being a dick about it, just tell him you already opened a thread on a big computer community forum..Trust me he'll act nicer..Also if you have facebook / twitter, link them this thread..Watch that shinny new motherboard come to your door.

I don't think the motherboard was damaged during shipping. The motherboard was bent; it didn't crack or chip off. They gave me specific RMA instructions to put 2 inches of cushion on each side of the motherboard but they didn't put any on the bottom when they sent it back, just on the top and sides.



Update: I emailed ASUS, and they told me to speak with a 2nd level RMA tech. I called in and the first thing they said was that my RMA was probably denied because of the bent corner! I had to explain to them again that the bent corner was NOT there before I sent the item. The representative said that they do not have much information about my case and they'll have to call a different department first before they can give me a response. I should be receiving a call-back some time today.


Hm...If this does not go well, I'm not going to say I'll never purchase an ASUS product again but I WILL make sure people know about their warranty service.

You ve bend the board so you can get a new one instead ,this may be the way they are thinking.
Give up ,buy another brand and move on.

Many people that had Asus hardware know about this don t worry.Thats why you should go for RMA with the store where you bought it ,if you can.

I took over 10 photos of the motherboard. I even sent them 2 photos(full front and full back with the date and RMA #) with the motherboard for RMA.


Update: They just called saying the motherboard was damaged during shipping. So now they are going to send a replacement board and put a hold on my credit card until I send back the bent one with a prepaid label.

I am waiting for their E-mail for forms to fill out.

Hopefully, the next motherboard will work.
