A good WC setup for a i7 980x, Radeon 6970 & 6990? - Page 2

are you planning to run dual loops?

btw, as many have said, the ek bridge only works with ek blocks and all the gpu blocks have to the same model, you can't do a fc6990 block and a fc6970 block unfortunately. Look into sli/crossfire fittings instead.
You are probably best off with this crossfire bridge

Alright, here's everything:

Can you please check if all my fittings and what-not are okay?

Also, I decided to color the heatshrink red on my fan, and that's the actual fan itself, because the sleeve is on the outside, right?

Thanks a ton!

so, the Rasa kit will be for a cpu only loop, and the RX360 + DDC will be your gpu loop? the DDC is plenty powerful to run your whole loop.

If you are running dual loops, the list looks good so far, just add a few more 1/2" barbs
post #15 of 65
Looks good. Maybe the watercooler pros can chime in.

The crossfire bridge I linked is actually for 3 slots. Make sure you are getting the proper crossfire bridge length. Oh,you need two of those if you decide to run your cards in parallel.

Your build is very similar to mine. I've been researching for weeks and this is what I've come to:

Edit: I'm only WC the GPUs as I have just gotten the Silver Arrow and the temps are awesome for air cooling. In the near future, I'll be WC the CPU, but that won't be until Socket LGA 2011

Oh okay, I'll look for one with 2 slots, I assume that's what I need.

Edit: This one, right? http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=28766

Do I really need the RX360 if the DDC can handle my whole loop? Also, should I get more than 10x of tubing, and how many more 1/2 barbs?

I'd hate to have this arrive and I'm missing a part, or somethings not long enough, etc.

Double check on your motherboard pci express lane.
My cards run x16/x16 on slot 1 and slot 3. This means there are 2 slots plus the card slot giving me a total of 3 slots for the crossfire bridge.

I ordered 20ft of tubing to be on the safe side. Its better to have it and not need it than needing it and not having it.

For the barb fittings, get a handful. (6-8)

I'm getting the Rampage 3 Formula, so I'm sure it's similar to yours... So 2 or 3?

Okay, I'll go ahead and get 20ft too.

Could you link me a good barb? There are so many, I don't know which to choose lol.

I'm positive its 3, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
Is there a watercooler expert who can chime in on the Crossfire bridges?

In regards about barbs, just follow my build. I chose black because I'm trying to go for a Red and Black theme. The FrozenQ res is OOS on the Red ones, so I had no other choice but to choose blue.

Here's the link for the barb
