Bulldozer

Bulldozer is AMD’s next generation CPU design, which we have eagerly been awaiting for quite some time. The first Bulldozer products will ship in Q3 of this year; meaning anywhere between July and September, which is still within the timeframe laid out by earlier rumors of its delay. Zambezi, as rumors previously indicated, is the codename of the desktop part. Server parts should ship at around the same time.

Not a rumor!! Straight from the source; AMD @ Computex

What.
I still really wanna see further proof of AMD actually saying this.
The live stream cut out so much I never heard any such news.
Awesome to see Llano out on schedule though,Llano will probably be a larger success than Bulldozer anyway.

Yeah silicon in Q3. I hope we get some paper at E3 though. Official benchmarks will help ease the pain of waiting.

Official benches at E3 would ease the pain around here I bet (as long as they are competitive with SB)....

I think that's the point, llano hits a larger consumer base then bulldozer does. ( could be wrong though )

AMD actually never said Q3, they said chips will be shipped the month after the mainboards. And the mainboards are already shipped and in stock. Do with that what you will, it's pretty ambiguous.

Hopefully AMD can compete at the high end against Intel.

I am an avid AMD fan and user myself but its time to face the music. AMD is in trouble here. Read between the lines!! How many delays will we see and what are we Really waiting for performance wise. Will Bulldozer live up to its name??

Has it ever occured to you that Anandtech may have reporters actually at Computex and not relying on failboat streaming video of the event for their reporting?

This is the reason why I believe Anandtech. They now have a good source.
