If you were going to be doing that for a long time, I guess so. I made keyboard shortcuts (right CTRL+shift + P for portrait or L for landscape) in the catalyst control panel for changing the display output. The stand is a little stiff, so it might end up being more hassle than its worth end the end (moving your eyes up and down feels very strange at first).

Pretty similar to what I have. I have to add that I am coming from a 19"CRT and I have been playing extensively CoD2 for the last 4 years. There is no real "lag" per se but it still feels sluggish at time. I have had to adapt to the tool. As for the colour/brightness, yes it is noticeable in a black room with a black screen, but as much as you might think once you are actually using your computer as opposed to looking for defects. At 250 quid, this was not cheap, but it is still a treat.

EDIT: Ctrl + Alt + ARROW to rotate the screen in Windows btw.

I just switched the 24" Samsung BX2450 i was using, for a 21.5" Samsung BX2250. And i haven't tried gaming yet, but the size difference wasnt really noticable at first, and even now i don't mind it being smaller.

Im sure your wondering why i switched my monitor. I was just "testing" the BX2450, and my time runs out in a few days. So i decided to return it before it's too late, and try a smaller monitor to see how it is. But i'm still interested in getting the U2311H, and if i see it for $250, it will be mine.

After using the monitor for a while, i actually like the 21.5" better than the 24" mostly because the pixels are much smaller and I can focus on the whole screen instead of part of it. So i don't have a problem getting a 23".

Just found this picture I took before sending back the Dell, my phone camera doesn't do the color justice, but you can at least see its similar to the PVA panel, and also maybe see what I mean by much smaller:

The U2311H is on sale for $250. Is there any thing else i need to know before i buy it? Or maybe another monitor i haven't heard of that is good?

And when/if i do receive it, what sort of defects should i check for so that i know i have a perfect monitor?
