i hope they make the UI less cluttered... i hate when my wallet snaps to the ships fitting window..

I just started EVE a few weeks ago. It's a really good game, but it could use a UI overhaul. This update didn't really change the UI though, just the underlying framework. The real update comes later.

But the update changed the cap meter color (which made it a bit easier to read), for what that's worth.

Tbh, CCP usually break things with "patches" add some bells and whistles to attract new players and leave a lot broke until the next "patch".

The lag has gotten worse also over the years. Also people using bots and real money transactions are ruining the game.

Eve online is dying and needs to be challenged by some other game. If another half decent space game came out, EVE would die.

Name me one MMO that hasn't run into those two issues

But luckily for EVE no other game has the same concept, atleast not to such a large scale...and I'm doubtful if any developer will risk spending money developing a similar game, there's just not enough people are into that kind of playstyle.

"Eve online is dying"?

God, sounds like General Discussion here.

The fact that activity actually hit a new high quite recently not mean anything?

^This.

Any EVE challengers now would have the same problem as WoW clones (rift, etc) - EvE has too much content already in it - its gonna be hard as hell to do all of that at launch. And that's what you'd need to do too.

Yeah that is true, unfortunately.

All time high recently yes, bots on multi accounts. Bots make up for large percentages of these players and rmt is also causing problems in 0.0. Basically half of eve is cheating and the devs are releasing updates allowing you to walk in a spacestation.
It is like rearranging the deckchairs on the titanic.

And im not cussing the game, I love the game. But it is run like any normal business would be, treat current customers like crap(not fixing current problems) and a lot of attention for potential new customers (putting in pointless "upgrades")

I like EVE online, its a great sand box - but it requires ALOT of time investment. Difficult to manage in between a job.

This new inclusion of space station exploring etc will certainly bring me back for another look (seems their marketing strategy worked eh? )

Apparently, you don't read the forums that often do you?
Just because there is a specific issue, doesn't mean it is easily fixed within minutes, perhaps not even currently relevant.

If anything, CCP has been doing an examplary job fixing issues with fixes, even this patch had a small hotfix applied almost instataneously.
So your comments are a bit shortsighted -- no offence.

RMT has been prevented and acted upon quite recently, the ICE prices are proof of this as they skyhigh.

The lag was caused by Dominion and the increasing subscribers that come to the game, besides lag only occurs when you have hundreds of ships in on one screen, it has been explained that a large portion of the lag is not just server-side but client-side too.
