hi, can anyone help me to overclock my e2140 my cpu speed is 1.60Ghz and i already made it 1.80Ghz but i cant make it higher please help me pls look at my cpu-z http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1846546

hi does it crash when you put it higher or does it just not allow you past that?

Sorry to bring bad news but on your motherboard this is as far as you're going to reach. The chipset doesn't have a PCI frequency lock so when you OC the processor you also push the SATA, USB, etc that don't like clock speed changes. These boards allow at most some 10% clock speed gain.

If you're a dedicated OCer and not affraid to modify the CPU a bit I suggest searching for the BSEL mod - this way you could jump the FSB from 800 directly to 1066; it is only required the motherboard supports FSB 1066 processors (C2D e6600 and the like)

try setting the FSB directly to 266 (as found on the e6x00 cpus) - your board *may* be able to keep the PCI frequency in check when running at 'set' speeds.

Failing that you'd need to do a pinmod to jump from 800 to 1066. Thankfully that's pretty easy, and you almost certainly won't need to get into voltage adjustments etc. More info here.
