Crashes,BSOD's on a brand new rig!! - Page 4

Then I suggest you to take one module out and retry Intel Burn Test, if it fails then you'll have the culprit.

I hve no idea why with Win7 update...
But when I read "computer is freezing / hanging up" this tells my self Memory problem.

The BSOD's happen just during windows update. I run FarCry at 10x7 very-high for hours, and no such problems occur.

I do remember one thing, when i assembled the whole system there was a small earthing problem which made the power leak and i felt a part of it. Any chances that might've ruined the whole motherboard? x.x

I just did about the same build and got the same bsod for a few days. It ended up being the intel chipset driver(.inf). Dunno if that helps, but it stabilized the memory management issue.

Ok let me try uninstalling the chipset driver.

Thats impossible lol! xD

I had recently installed intel's latest h67 chipset driver from its official site, if you're right the problem might've started there.

If you are getting BSOD the first things you should be checking are your RAM and HDD for errors.

Download CPUz and post screenshots of the memory and SPD tabs. This will help us make sure your RAM settings are correct.

RAM can fail at anytime. BAD RAM usually = BSOD and app errors.
http://www.memtest.org/

Download Memtest 86+ and burn the ISO to a CD or use the USB exe file. Boot with the CD or USB drive and let it check one full PASS. I would recommend at least 2 or 3.
Intel Burn test will not necessarily tell you if your RAM is bad unless you hit the bad sector(s).

You can choose to run the test on both sticks or one stick at a time. Makes no difference as Memtest will check ALL areas of your RAM.

If your ram passes 100% then move on to checking your Hardrive.

I ran a 20run test using IntelBurnTest with maximum stress, that gave a "critical error" just after two runs x.x
