Nope never outperformed it. Thing is Kaspersky can detect a lot of malware Thx its great packing of its databases. It can fit more in a database file and don't need to trim it like a lot of avs do.

Sorry to bump this old thread, but to comparing Kaspersky with MSE is nonsense, MSE is far behind KIS/KAV, the only better/equal security product to Kaspersky on the market atm is Symantec/Norton.
