Razer Quality - Page 3

my copperhead have lasted around 3 years so far, once flodded it with coke and it stopped working, so took it apart and let each part dry befor i used rubbing alcohol to clean it, put it back together and its working like brand new.

but ofc with as big a company as razer there will be more complaints about issues that people have, rather than with a small company. basicly due to razer selling more items so flaws will seem bigger.

I had the Tarantula keyboard for a couple years and ended up replacing it because I had it on the family PC and my mom spilled all kinds of drinks, cigarette ashes, etc on it and it was just gross all the time. I built a custom rig and outfitted it with a Lycosa that I have had for a couple years now. That Tarantula is still kicking and my mom is still using it on their PC and she is still spilling stuff all over. My Lycosa has had zero issues as well. My brother has a DeathAdder mouse and has had zero problems.

I don't usually like the price of Razer products, but they have proven themselves to me.

I've bought tons of razer products and the only problems i had was their keyboards. They randomly stop working and the media player controller freaks out often. I have to unplug and replug the keyboard atleast 2 times a day to fix it. But i love the Naga mouse!

I used to always doubt Razer then somehow gave into getting the DeathAdder (which at the time still had some flaws) but I can say this has been a perfect mouse to me for years now.

If macros are a dealbreaker, there are programs to bind the keys of any keyboard to some kind of custom macro.

Its still as ****ty as ever:

My Deathadder is in RMA right now because of Razer's poor engineering. Won't buy ever from them.

PS: If you decide to buy a product from them: NEVER UPDATE THE FIRMWARE.

Given that the mice are manufactured by a different OEM to the one that makes keyboards, I don't think it makes any sense to extrapolate the quality of one from the other.

Old razer products have never let me down, I own a Razer Boomslang, Razer Diamondback, Razer Deathadder V1 and a Razer Imperator.
The Imperator is new, and it's a piece of garbage. The sensor has the lift-off issue, and the mouse just stops working randomly every now and then, forcing me to re-plug it.
I went back to using my old Deathadder and threw the Imperator in the closet.

Personally i'd like to get me a Deathadder Black Edition because of it's rubber sides, but I'm kind of afraid of buying new Razer products.
I'm kind of thinking about doing a mod to put the insides of the Deathadder in the Imperator, because it really is a lovely mouse on the outside.

I've got a Imperator mouse and had it for 6 months. So far no issues
