Mamba, Orochi, BlackWidow Ultimate and Tarantula [back in the day] all had their firmware updated myself without one issue. PEBCAK.

On topic. I've owned a ton of Razer products. The only one I've had any issues with is my Mamba. Going through the RMA process right now. The PTE just went out all together without notice. All considering, it happens, RMA is painless, I spoke with Razer over the phone and they even covered shipping. The replacement will be here Monday of next week.

I've had zero, mark that, zero with my BlackWidow Ultimate, whether it be keys clashing or whatever, z-e-r-o.

Are their prices sometimes absurd? Yes, that does without saying [here's looking at the Mako ], however least with me they're always great.

Still have an old Copperhead and Boomslang in a drawer as spares for my spare G7 in the event my Mamba went out. Rocking the G7 now... <3 wireless, but ugh, this G7 and battery swapping... the Mamba rocks lol

So far, Razer has never let me down. Except the Mamba, which they covered me entirely, I have no complaints.

I still stand by this.. 70% of the time, which is that if you treat your peripherals like crap they will fail. I baby all my keyboards / mice and they last... for times way past their warranty lol [For example, I got my BWU on Razer's first shipment / disbursement date, I have yet to have one scratch / scuff on the glossy plastic. Just take care of your stuff :F] I'm going to get so much flak for this /sigh

Cherry Corps may flex more than a porn star but one look at their PCBs tells ya they are built to last.

I think people on these forums over exaggerate problems to the extreme. One person posts an issue and they blow it up like 80% of the products will have the issue. For every one problem posted here you have tons of others not having problems. We just don't have access to the proper information to judge.

A lot of people here like to bash Razer, who knows why, maybe they got a single mouse that went bad. I guess that justifies it. Or maybe the club design and flashing lights trigger their epilepsy. Either way, most Razer stuff is like anything you would get from Logitech, Steelseries, etc.

I have personally owned products from most of the "gaming" companies and I haven't really seen one fail more then others. But like I said this is mostly speculation.

As I mentioned earlier, I can't comment on Razer's quality. I have not used Steelseries, but Razer is not equal to Logitech. I am used to Logitech high end mice (Revolution MX, G700) and Razer's similarly priced mouse (my Lachesis 5600) felt cheap in comparison. Sure it looks good with the black velvet and fancy lights, but its thin plastic and sharp edges makes it feels insubstantial. Even my $20 wireless Logitech mouse feels better and has no sharp edges.

Yea i couldnt agree more with this. i love razer, i think they have good products... its just that 1 out of 4 products that i have bought is going a bit loopy,

but i dont think we should generalise the whole company based on a few testimonials

Then why make a thread asking for people's experience with Razer?

It will obviously bring some Razer haters like myself and some people who had problems with their products.

Razer products, at least the ones I have tried... I own a Deathadder... don't have that substantial feel to them. All of their products that I have tried feel light and like they're made of cheap plastic. My deathadder has gone through a bit of abuse and still works flawlessly, but I do prefer the G5 or G500 just for feel... hardcore or even moderate gamers might dislike my choice, but it just feels like a better product and is my preference. Perhaps I'm just ignorant... lol I have no experience with their keyboards.
