What type of hardware is worth watercooling?

Thread Starter
My current setup is as stated below. I talked to a guy who deals in watercooling equipment and he advised me that it's "not worth it to watercool such low-end equipment". So taking his word I bought the H70 instead which was promised to be of adequate performance. True enough I've been able to reach a decent overclock. However seeing temps of ~88deg makes me cringe. Either than that I have no complaints.

Questions
•What would it have been if I had decided to go for a say, dual radiator setup for a cpu-gpu-ram loop of some sorts? (Sorry if it doesn't make sense, I am not very well versed in watercooling).
•Is my custom pcb-ed graphics card even viable for watercooling?
•What type of hardware is "worth it"?
•How much $?

Current OC

Temp Idle

Temp Load (Prime95)

Computer is 100% stable. However the H70 (using Mx3 thermal paste) seems to run warm & I'm probably going to lower it to 4.8GHz. I even speculate that the Noctua NH-D14 will be able to outperform it. What are your opinions?

Low End? 2600k? Who the f* where you talking to? if the 2600k is "low-end" Wouldnt that make my rig junk? -.-

If you want to cool only cpu check out XSPC rasa rx240 kit or 360
And I believe later you can add GPU block to it if you need.

When the guy said low end, he meant that the watercooling equipment would probably cost more than the processor itself.. At least that's what he told me.

I second the Rasa kits for cpu only

Around how much will it cost to buy all the parts? Also how much of a performance difference will I be looking at?

The 2600k can outperform any previous gen i7's for less $
also the second gen is cooler than previous gen
and yeah watter cooling is quite pricy but I think worth it if you do it right.

the kits range from 130 - 200, you're temos will drop significantly...like 15-20 degress on load and a few on idle

a full custom cpu only loop would only be like $187, it might get you a better pump but the rad in the rasa rx360 kits is well worth the -$7 to get a way better rad with only a decent pump(not the great pump that is the mcp355), which you could a gpu block to later on, with the included pump to boot. . .

that's $180 for the rasa rx360 kit, which you can pick up here

your cpu is one of the best on the high end market, its definitely worth watercooling. You can get one of the cheap Rasa or EK kits or you can go all out and spend about 500€ on watercooling the cpu and gpu like me. GTx 560 isnt worth watercooling.
