I'm fine with people defending their purchases with legitimate facts and reasoning because there are many reasons to purchase an h50/h70 over a noctua nh-d14.. The h50 is compatible with all ram and more cases and it makes working inside cases more pleasant. That's not what some of these sealed user do though.. They'll enter a thread and say "lol that gonna break your mobo get an h70 instead!", without any sense of irony.
I've never seen a thread titled "noctua nh-d14 broke my motherboard" but there are plenty "-insert sealed unit- leaked" threads over at the corsiar and coolit forums. Of course they'll just say "it's covered under warranty".. If you wanna take the pathway of intellectual dishonesty then try magically handwaving away a serious risk that happens vs. something you either heard rumors about or outright made up.
I wanna see pictures of a noctua nh-d14 or silver arrow destroying a cpu socket along with a source on how it happened.
