Oh, okay, I see--thanks for clarifying. At this point, I'm confused as well as to why the settings aren't holding. Have you checked for a BIOS update for your board?

Bios flashing is easy. Just don't do it in windows (i've done it in windows successfully several times but had to RMA my P5B Deluxe when it locked up)

Reset all settings to stock
use a floppy or USB drive with the bios update
Update through bios app

Howzit man!
I wouldn't bother with a new motherboard, too expensive for a decent one here - plus stock now is predominantly mainstream g31/41 boards. Second hand really is your only real bet.

Rather save the grand + for a decent board for a total system upgrade. Far more efficient than a few extra 100MHz on an old duely.

EDIT: There are updated bios, might be worht a try? http://www.msi.com/product/mb/G41M-P26.html#?div=BIOS

Hmm if its 2010 then I doubt there will be any worthwhile BIOS updates for a G41 chipset board.

Personally, I think upgrading to a P45 motherboard would make a huge difference in your overclocking potential. The G41, with all due respect, is quite a budget chipset. I think you'd have a lot more headroom with a P45 or even a P43 chipset etc.
