Good Anti-Virus? Disappointed w/ Bitdefender

Good AVs out there? Just got pissed off in Bitdefender. It has definitely low cpu load, BUT it is very hungry for internet. I'm just having a slow 800kbps connection(pretty decent for my country). and in my network meter in the task manager, it always have 88% load. Disabled updating but still the same.confused.gif

About 2 days later, I noticed a slowdown on my networking. So I tested it, and got a WHOOPING 500 PING!, 0.22 MBPS DL, 0.10 MBPS UPLOAD.devil.gifdevil.gif

So i uninstalled it today. and got back to a decent 40 ping, 0.90mbps dl, 0.25 upload. and got back to microsoft security essentials.

Can you give good AV? does not need that much protection(coz i'm not an idiot in surfing webs). Just a nice wall for attacking virus, worms.

to be honest the best anti-virus on the planet is a combination of MSE and MBAM PRO with active protection enabled.

This combo is almost perfect....

Yea I dont even use an antivirus anymore. If you insist, you should use MSE and Malwarebytes like Mikep said. its really all you need.

I just changed my AV cause MSE detected a virus within my system, i tried removing it but it appears again. So I manually removed it, and bought a 1 year Bitdefender to add protection.

Seems like i will give this bitdefender to someone else. definitely satisfied with MSE now.

Just thought a quote about this =)
"When you leave someone(MSE) for someone else(BITDEFENDER), you will realize how much you love her(MSE)"
HAHA, its not the exact quote but it is somewhat like this

My security solutions?

Microsoft Security Essentials, and MalwareBytes Free...

If either of them can't stop a rogue virus, I use HiJackThis, disable the virus from running brute-force style then manually delete the files, then do full scan again with both MSE and MBAM

Currently downloading MBAM for free, i've used MBAM on my previous system. It's a good malware protection software.

Just install Malwarebytes Antimalware (purchase the PRO version for active protection if you want) and you are good to go
