That pretty much sums it up. 700D and 800D have very poor airflow (hardly any fans blowing in/out). They do have a lot of space for water cooling.

Is the 700d really that awful for airflow?
Would they hinder overclocks?
Is it possible to mount fans where the radiators could go just for airflow?

... Obviously?

Im thinking of watercooling later, i just want to know if using the 700d for regular cooling in the meantime will be a hellish experience.

I'd say if you aren't going to WC first, go with the HAF X. I love mine and is great for both air and WC. There are plenty of people with massive loops in the HAF and they think it works fine.

But the 700D looks better.. Go with that. Mount some nice fans and you will be fine.

I had a 700D, I swapped out ALL the fans for GT AP15 (VERY GOOD fans), and the temps/airflow was STILL terrible. You will NOT be fine.
