Thread Starter
I'm trying to host a IRC server on my dedicated box w/ JoinMe 141 and I can connect to it with bots locally but whenI try to connect with MIRC or Mibbit: nothing

joinme is allowed in my firewall..

you can try to connect a mycraftsmp.net:6667

Also does anyone know any easy GUI programs to host/manage an irc server?

I doubt you set it up correctly.
What network is it under?

Post a screenshot of the application.

hmmm I'll see if there is something else better to use, I was able to connect to it using "localhost" which leads me to believe its a firewall issue but the program is allowed o_0

But did you allow the ports through your router? Port Fowarding through your router and allowing it on the firewall on your computer is two different things.

Thank you, mbudden! I was just about to post the same thing with a long, detailed set of instructions (well, about 3 steps...) but now that he's had a day to figure out Port Forwarding via Google searches, I won't bother.

I do not have a router, its co-located at a datacenter, this is the first program I've had problems reaching remotely
