I noticed that you are almost @ 5 on air. So with my Rasa Block, xspc 360 with pull/push fans and my swift Pump, i can easy hit 5 with HT ON, with the 2600k?

Benchmarks aren't the only thing that can take full advantage of six cores.... Besides, if somebody were to buy a 980x, it's most likely going to serve a purpose where all of its cores are used (unless they have more money than sense).

first, is the 2500k an i5?, and if it is, why not go for the i7-2600k? (place your answer keeping in consideration that this is for GAMING PURPOSE ONLY)

SECOND, if i get the 2500k or the 2600k, which motherboard/graphic card will be the best option?
GPU: gtx 3g 580,gtx 1.5g 580.
