Hibernation:

Open the Start menu
Type cmd
Right-click the result named "cmd.exe"
Choose "Run as administrator"
Type powercfg -h on and press Enter (nothing happens afterward, but the lack of an error means it was successful)
Type Exit and press Enter
You mean powercfg -h off

Go to Computer, local disk (or whatever you named it) C, and see how big your "Users" folder is. Mine, for example, is only 182mb. Before I formatted and while using only my 1tb Spinpoint for a system drive, it was upwards of 17gb.
Why upgrade?

Then it sounds like you didn't disable hibernate. Do it again with off not on

EDIT: just read your new post. What's your free space now?

Oh, I see why you pointed that out now! You wanted to be able to start something. I can't believe I fell for it.

Hey Twister773? Did you notice extra space being freed up after disabling Hibernation?
