Of course if it's a file you access frequently this may not be the best idea.

Edit: 16.1gb free space isnt bad. We're getting somewhere!

I've added everything up here, and I arrived at 22.15 GB so far. I subtracted that 22.15 GB from 40 GB and I got 17.85 GB which sounds like is the entire size of just Windows 7 alone.

Oh. Well right-click C:\\Windows, choose Properties, and then see what the total size is of that folder. Add just a few GB to that, and that should account for every last GB. Like I said, I added 12.4 GB to 5.50 GB and 4.25 GB and arrived at 22.15. Subtracting 22.15 from 43.4 GB leaves 21.25 GB which still sounds like Windows 7.

Which version of Windows 7 do you have?

Edit: Wait, the page file is part of that. Likely 4gb. So we're missing 3.55?

Oh, I forgot about the Paging File. However, don't disable it:

It just depends on what you have in there. I mean you have things in there like the Desktop, My Documents, My Pictures, My Music, My Videos, Saved Games and a few other things. Any of these folders inside of the Users folder can be moved: right-click the folder (such as My Documents), choose Properties, switch to the Location tab, and then the rest should be self-explanatory.

No. Mine's 2GB. If you got Tree Size (like I linked earlier) you wouldn't have to go through every folder manually to check the size. It does it all for you
