I would shrink the page file. You're losing like 7GB for nothing.

You want paging to be done as quickly as possible so it makes more sense to leave it on the SSD. 1GB will be fine

Yeah, and write endurance isn't something to worry about. http://www.overclock.net/ssd/1013672...-900000gb.html I'd rather have a very quick page file (when it is needed) than put it on a hdd.

OP: Glad to have helped.

http://lifehacker.com/#!5426041/unde...dnt-disable-it[/QUOTE]

From what I read there re pagefile at lot of it applies to things that dont apply to fast ssd's, he mentions defrag, well that should be disabled. Superfetch, another good thing to disable with an ssd. And he mentions things being kept in pagefile when minimised so they open faster, again not needed with an ssd.

There are other things mentioned that just plain dont apply to ssd's.

About the only reason I can see for having a pagefile is IF one wants crash dump files, which I dont....also direct firefox and or IE if you use it caching to ram.... http://lifehacker.com/5687850/speed-...-disk-required
