460 fermi 2gb 256bit, worth it? details inside - Page 2

The 560ti is a refined design, and has more raw power than the 460 by quite a bit. 2GB 460s are kind of an oddity because even in SLI, they're challenged with VRAM usages above ~1.2GB, they just don't have the raw power to work with 2GB of VRAM. Now, the 2GB 560 ti would be best, but in a choice between the 2GB 460 and the 1GB 560TI, I don't know of any situation where the 460 could outperform the 560ti, programs with high enough settings to use 2GB of Vram wouldn't run well on the 460 in most cases.

the 560 TI has 384 cores. the 460 has 336 cores. not to mention the frequency difference
your best buy (lol) would be the GTX 560 Ti 2 GB.
