My guess is about 400 bucks. Poll to come... Some fools actually have said 1,000 bucks online... Yeah right, sony wouldn't make any money if they sold it for that much. Only rich kids would have it then. Some ppl said 250-300 but I can't see that as being realistic with all the new technology in the ngp. I mean they'd probably lose money if it cost only that much. It might cost them about 150-200 bucks to make them, but they're gonna wanna make profit off it and I think they'd be fine with about getting half their profit back. If it cost them 500 bucks to make, than maybe the kids claiming 1,000 dollars aren't so far off... I don't know... I just don't see sony making profit off of it. I know that the ps3 only made money when they cut slashes in the price of their system.

Going to say $349-$399 The 3DS wasn't cheap so Sony has some head room. Inflation hasn't helped either.

The 3ds was kind of cheap at launch, it was only 250 wasn't it?

And if you search hard online you can find places selling it for 220-200 bucks. Save 50-30 bucks. But the technology in the 3ds is obviously alot cheaper, it looks like nintendo wii graphics from the videos I've seen.

Wait, what? So they expected to recoup the 12 dollar loss in someone buying the video games I guess?

Sony were gaining more customers and popularity with the slim, eventually the hardware became cheaper and them made a profit. I'm just saying maybe they will release the NGP for what it costs to make and after the popularity they might make a profit

$249 for the non-3G version....book it. I have an extremely strong feeling that's going to be the price for the non-3G version.

For the 3G version I'm not so sure because don’t know if they're going to sell with a seperate 3G contract. But my guess for the 3G version, hardware alone.... something like $329.
