Then go for the EVO. Cheaper and more features VS Sabertooth

I'd say yes... The Sabertoth is part of the TUF line... But I dont know alot about either board...

I have bought 2 boards via newegg open box, both ran fine and never had an issue..

Just realize all you get is the board, nothing else. No I/O shield, cables, manual, cd or anything....
Just the board in a box...

If you are buying open box you risk not getting the I/O shield as well as the SATA cables included in the box of a new motherboard

Otherwise, as long as warranty is by serial number I would be ok with it

I bought my Rampage III formula open box from Newegg. No problems so far. It was missing the included software and the I/O shield but it came with all the SATA cables, extra long crossfire/SLI connectors, and the extra fan it was supposed to come with. It also came in a generic white box not the Asus box. It also had some greasy fingerprints on it...

I'm glad I went with the open box.

I've heard that the Thermal shield on the Sabertooth, actually increases the temperature.
