I went to the Gskill forums about some 14900 Ripjaws X about a month ago. They suggested giving it a .1 volt increase to improve stability. 1.65 is probably not too high, or going to cause damage, but no reason exists to do it if the chips will run on lower voltage. Most times I've had to up to 1.55v on lower voltage Gskill kits. Just an FYI for you. I doubt you caused harm. If you really wonder, ask Gskill. They replied to me very quickly.
