Yeah, I know what AI Suite II is lol.. I've used it on my 3 LGA 1155 boards tongue.gif What I'm saying though is that the Sabertooth seems to be the only Asus LGA 1155 board that can provide RAM temperatures.

what is your ambient temperature?
even though ur temp decrease by over 10 degrees, it is still in the hot zone. my CPU never go over 68 C when doing intel burn test, and 62 C when doing prime95. ambient 24 C.
and your cooler is more expensive than mine

My ambient is around 78-80F or 25-26C. I am wondering what else I need to do to bring down the temp. At idle it is less than 40.

I still don't understand how it reads RAM temperature. If it has a sensor, then it would probe the contact part, like the 240 pins, NOT the RAM ICs which is the temperature that would be relevant. So I wouldn't even look at the RAM temperature.

This is a very good observation and logical conclusion. Perhaps the sensor reads the temparature at the location where the RAMS are located. So is there a max temparature for the DRAM or a safe range for the DRAMs?

Try reducing RAm voltage to 1.6v, also see if the case fans are clogged with dust or if ther's dust in the interior.

And yeah the Sabertooth is a class act.

I say feel the ram with your hand. I am going to go out on a limb here and state that the warning you are getting is total bull. DDR3 simply doesn't get very hot. 60C for a ram IC is WAYYYY out of line of normal operating temp.

I will try reducing the DRAM voltage. It is rated 1.65v. I have a new build, so there is no dust inside or clogged fan. However, I have noticed that RPM of the fans are low like less than 600. They are connected to the 3 pins on the motherboard. Should I be connecting them directly to the power supply? Would the motherboard be able to see them or control the speed then?
