An iOne representative pretty much told me that they make the Black Widow. However, it's pretty obvious Razer did some major changes to the PCB and case.

The Leopold designer told us Filco was going out of business.

Well, that's how OEMs work, you make stuff to the customer's specifications... Of course the electronics aren't going to be the same as the Xarmor if it has programmable macro keys and the like.

Some OEMs just manufacture. Some do design work.

In the case of Razer I assume they do most of the design work. Big outfit. Chinese are crappy at SW.

Still cracks me up the Ducky G2 doesn't work with OSX. Like duh, dudes.

Of course, iOne may not be the OEM. I was pretty much told. I asked if iOne made the BlackWidow, and the iOne guy said "We aren't allowed to talk about our other customers", followed by a nod and big wink. So... Probably iOne, but it's only unofficially official.

1) Razer Black Widow is far less quality than an XArmor.
2) Your LEDs don't work because you aren't hooking up the USB Hub.
3) Razor doesn't use iOne, and if they do it's greatly modified to the point where it really is a product of it's own.

XArmor is a good company, just slightly behind Decks. If Decks were in stock I would of got a Deck. I got the brown switch version of the XArmor, mainly because blues suck for gaming. Clears would still be better, which is what the deck has, I feel like these browns are too easy to push in... wish it had slightly more tactile feel to it.

I may or may not buy a deck when they come in stock. I prefer clear switches over browns, but that doesn't make the XArmor lacking in quality.

No, They don't work because they're not supposed to. I purchased the non back-lit version, which is why I was surprised the LEDs were even present.

As far as quality goes, if the Xarmor is as good as you say it is, then I may be disappointed with my Das that's coming in. That see-sawing wobble in my video is something I absolutely hated, and thought it made the keyboard feel really cheap.

I stated in the video that I didn't have another mechanical keyboard to compare it to, so I'm just assuming based on my experience with my other rubber domes.

?

They put the LEDs into the non-backlit version?

Xarmor Accounting needs to talk to Xarmor Engineering.

I have high doubt on this.

PCB is not just electrically different, is clearly built by another company, even the printed writings are using a different font (I have great doubt that the serigraph on the PCB is a spec from razer).

Any other component is not shared, even the capslock leds are placed differently.

Obviously all is possible, but tis one is, at least very unlikely.
