Help whether if its necessary to buy a souncard with this set-up!

Hi! I just want to know if it's possible to output TrueHD/DTS-HD (when watching blu-ray movies that supports it) to my
z5500 without using a receiver? I plan to buy a soundcard that can decode TrueHD/DTS-HD and connect my z5500 to

it via analog instead of buying a receiver. Will i still be able to output TrueHD/DTS-HD or the built-in decoder/receiver

of z5500 will still be the who decodes the audio making the soundcard redundant/useless?

Thanks for your posts!!!

Yeah you have to use digital cable for your speaker to output DTS/DD or surround sound. In my case, I have a z5500 and I use digital cable from it through my pc. If I'm going to use analog cable to connect my z5500 to pc, the Realtek driver will decode/process the audio not with the z5500's built-in decoder, which is better that the Realtek. DTS-HD is different from DTS.

I'm really thinkin' you're going to end up needing a receiver.
