HDD broken sata port help

Hello,
I have a 1TB Hitachi HDD (newer) that has a broken sata "plate". Over half if it is broken (i still have the broken plastic part and fit it back in) and all the metal strips all good but a little bent. Sometimes my pc wont recognize my HDD, so I have to unplug the sata cable carefully so the broken part wont fall out and plug it back in. My question is how can I fix that broken part. Is there a special glue I can use bc it wont recognize my HDD at least once a day.

Thanks biggrin.gif

Depending on your soldering skill you could always cut your SATA wire and wire it directly to the PCB.

If it still recognizes the drive i would just tape it in place and leave it be.
