High pitched noise through headset, stops when I move mouse

Headset is the Razer Carcharias, mouse is Razer Naga, soundcard is Asus Xonar DG (running latest drivers)

Just got my M4A89GTD and set everything up and noticed this happening.
Any movement of the mouse stops the high pitched noise. It's very faint, but also very noticeable if no other sound is playing.

What could be causing this? EDIT: Fixed device manager unknown device, installed southbridge and usb filter drivers, uninstalled USB host controller incase this was the culprit.

Noise still persists.
What is going on ?! Feel the need to say that the noise does come and go. It kinda "fades in" and then fades out.

EDIT2: Swapped my NIC and SPU around in their pci slots. Going to see if this fixed it. So far so good, but who knows.

Are you plugging it in through the front panel of your case? If so that's probably the culprit, because that's an issue I have with my Antec 900.. It's a grounding issue.

And yet another reason to avoid the 900 I am afraid. My gf's comp is in one and you can't plug in headphones in the front panel or you get noises. Its really bad thru skype

Haha, I just clicked on his system link and noticed he has an antec 900, what a coincidence. That answers everything.

For now the only thing I can do to avoid the problem is using a USB soundcard that I plug my headset into. I have my 5.1 setup plugged into my xonar.

I'm trying to find if there's an HD audio cable that has audio input jacks.

Unfortunately, no, I am not using the front USB port on my antec 900.
It turned out to be a seating problem. As I said in the original post, I had a really difficult time getting the card to screw in, so I must not have had it seated right.

That's another problem I have with the Antec 900 actually. I didn't even have the card register when I first turned it on because as soon as I screwed it on, it would pull the card out of the socket a little bit. I had to push the back panel in with brute force to seat the card properly.

The back panel of the case must be mis-aligned somehow.

It may be a PSU+mobo noise issue here.
Sometimes Corsairs can have a little higher high frequency noise on some of the rails .This goes tru the ground tracers affecting in specific cases the analog outputs of sound cards.
Your discrete sound card lacks good filtering on the voltage regulator output. From the ASUS D1 and DX up this should be not an issue ,the voltage regulators on the cards are better (coil included in the Pi filter).

This is actually what I was thinking aswell. Some sort of voltage filtering noise.
I have an old Silverstone Olympia OP650 lying in a box in my room, so if it comes down to it, I will switch to that.

D1 has better on card voltage filtering.Maybe you can get that instead.
The PSU can be very well out of spec.
I had similar problems with onboard on some K9A2 Platinum ,when Corsair PSU-s (seasonic based) were used .Using a Chieftec (Delta based unit) was not showing up the issue.
Using D1 solved the problem while keeping the Corsair.

It s a very annoying issue indeed.
You might try swapping PSU and mobo ,to see if the issue persists.

I actually just had this motherboard arrive in the mail yesterday, so if it's anything then it's that.

I not heard the issue since I reseated the card last night.
