Socket 1156 upgrade from i5 650 3.2

Thread Starter
i have a i5 650 and if i want to upgrade, what would be the best for me to buy in this socket range but not too expensive, can i run a 2500 or a i7 with this socket, is sandy bridge any better, must i rather not just upgrade the board and cpu at the same time to i7 and sandy bridge

You can't put a Sandy Bridge CPU in your motherboard, but you could get an i5 760 which has more cores and more cache, therefore better performance. Better than that you could go for an i7 875K, but that may be a bit expensive.
