Brettjv . i have now checked my Psu and i think it's the problem of my PC .. Intertech Energon 750w with four rails of 20a.. If i decide 470 over 6950 i must upgrade PSU.. What do you think ?
With the new 275.33 drivers my 470 scores 5400 in 3Dmark 11 Performance test .. What you think about this result ?

Thread Starter
Yeah ... 90C is quite hot for a 460. Your comp may be shutting down due to temps somewhere, either on the card, your cpu, or maybe one of the motherboard components such as Northbridge.

My computer has just shut off in the past while gaming because of the IOH getting too warm when I was having fan controller issues. Again, I do NOT think it's the PSU. Even a really poor quality 750W unit is WAY more than what is needed for a rig w/only one gtx470. The fact that it takes some time for the PC to shut off also usually indicates it's some kind of a temperature issue.

Can you fill your system specs under UserCP>Add System so that people can best help you?

Also, please do not 'double post'. If your post was the last one on the thread, please use the 'Edit' button to add to your post instead of making a new one

Lastly, you should start a new thread to ask about your shut-down problem, as this thread is about 3dMark11 and the new drivers

Interesting results. Are the SLI gains apparent in any other games/benches?

So yeah, I know I'm late to the party, but since I just got my rig back up and running over the weekend, I finally got the chance to see these new drivers in action... and DAMN. My cards -at stock- almost matched my old score at 950/1900/2100.
