AMD uses individual integer cores still. If you mean integer commands per clock cycle, this has actually been increased to 4 from 3 on Phenom II. Perhaps indeed the "bad performance" issue comes with the size of that L1 data cache, I never thought of that.

if im not mistaken that instruction set seems to be really long. and it include ssse3. wasnt that only on intel chips. and sse4.1/4.2 as well.

Actually the majority of 7GHz chips (check hwbot.org under 955's and 965's) hit their speeds only using ln2. Some people saw 7.1GHz as well.

and yes, voltage scaling is nonlinear. It depends on cooling, the chip itself, mV ripple and if the power is clean coming from the PSU and the mobo.
