Vcore1,375(1,344)
VTT1,27
PCH1,05
PLL1,8
vDimm1,66
Error Linx (5:15)

Another test which did not work. Sigh. Vcore a few notch up I guess.

Normally is it that hard to overclock? :O

to answer YES..a not so good chip should do 4ghz with 1.35v..but this is over rated..what error code you get??BSOD??

try 1.35v vcore and 1.3v on VTT..add 1 notch to PCH voltage..

I dont get any BSOD and by error code, I am testing with Linx which just stops upon error, but there isnt any log giving error code specific with the Linx program.

I will try your suggestion.

EDIT: I just need to be sure we are on same wavelength when you say try 1.35v it means the real output and not the value that is typed in..

yes the actual value should be 1.35v or more..same with VTT..during load its sure to drop..thats why its essential that you supply adequate voltages

well going for 4ghz with 1.4v is going to be suicide for the chip..can you try 191x21 setting??

1.35v on vcore 1.25v for VTT and the rest on auto..also try to limit your rams to 1333 with this new attempt..you might be able to ace this one setting out.. :crossfingers:

edit: to be able to use the 21 multiplier you have to enable Turbo Boost..BTW did you happen to turn off all power saving features??also the boards green power??

Oh my....can you be more specific?

TURBO BOOST [DISABLED]
C1E [DISABLED]
C3/C6 State Support [ENABLED]
CPU EIST Function [DISABLED]

These features I assume...

highlighted...... now i see why..try the old 1.32v vcore and 1.27v on vtt..if no avail try the suggested 191x21..just enabled TURBO BOOST for you to be able to use the 21x cpu multiplier..

some chips from the core i series love odd multipliers than even ones..its tricky but it works form some..play with the settings mentioned..also check if your board's EUP or green power thingy is enabled..it might cause instability..
