1090T Freezing and Failing to POST - Page 2

I have a freezing issue with my 1090T that I haven't been able to identify why it's doing that, this morning it wouldn't POST and the CPU POST LED was on, I took out my PhysX card and restarted and it worked, but it's still finicky, especially in Shogun 2.

What are the PSU voltages under load? Idle?

Also, how old is your BIOS? Crosshair IV changelog has:
"Improve system stability" for 1304 BIOS (1/10/2010)
Although it's vague... it's worth a shot?

haha, not surprised it's a crosshair iv formula mobo, my formula, infact the first one i got the ram slots (yes the actual slots) were faulty, it would lock up with all sticks in, and if i took one out, it would BSOD on contact with the desktop, all slots were affected, please look into getting your mobo replaced as you probably got a faulty one like i did. RAM issues are few and far between but issues with this mobo, well... need i say more.

EDIT: you may find what i said above hard to believe but trust me when i say this, one day it will be fine, the next you'll Freeze/BSOD a lot. i even took my pc to some one else, and they had no lock ups, but at home i did...

EDIT 2: i also had those CPU and DRAM lights come on fans spinning up etc, but the pc wouldn't start at all, so yeah i'm afraid you probably have the same problem i had.

Well, it appeared to have been working well, however today it exhibited one of its other symptoms of weirdness - I was using it, shut down, everything was fine. A few hours later, I went to turn it on, it passed the POST, however, the BIOS then did its whole "New CPU detected, enter Setup or load default values" thing...so something still isn't right here.

Mine isn't getting to the DRAM step of the POST though, when it fails, it fails on the CPU check, with only that LED on.

yes, i even had the CPU light come on alone before, i even had my motherboard tell me i had a bad overclock when i don't even overclock i had the bios lock up too, sometimes it would go to post and just sit there, you need to take that mobo back and replace it with the same one , Amazon (where i got mine) sent me another before i even sent it to them.. now that's great customer service, same can be said for ASUS RMA service.

i'm pretty sure i had the new cpu detected, it would make me reset my bios defaults (this was a pain because i have two identical hard drives and one boots, one doesn't and with the same name you get confused XD)
