Low 3DMark11 Physics Score

Thread Starter
See pic below for my 3DMark11 result for my sig rig.

The Graphics Score is ok but the Physics Score is low. I found out the i7 at 4GHz was not being stressed at 99-100% but was only working at around 55-65% when doing the last 2 tests (ie Physics tests).

Anyone has any idea of how to fix this?

Also, is it common for for 3DMark11 to mis-report my card is GTX285 which is actually my Physx card (and should not come into play when running 3DM11)?

TIA.

5.4k is around fine for your specs?
I don't see nothing to worry about.

If you're worried, just temporarily disable the 285 and re run the test to see if it makes any difference.
Could be DX10.1 interfering with DX11

The physx score does look kinda low, I've seen i7 920 @ 4.4Ghz or so getting ~9k physx score.
The 285 showing as the gpu is probably just futuremark systeminfo getting confused, as Mr. OCN said just disable for the test & it should show the right card.

Yes, I am expecting to have a score of 7-8k with an i7 at 4GHz. For a reason or another, my CPU is not working at 100% under this benchmark. I have confirmed that other programs like OCCT are able to put the CPU to full loading.
I researched a little in the net and found that someone had this similar problem. He reported that his firewall program was somehow preventing his CPU from going full load in 3DMark11. Once uninstalled/disabled, he got 100% CPU loading. I disabled mine but it did not happen for me.

I have also tried disabling the GTX285 in the Device Manager but it also did not work. 3DMark11 still reports my main card as GTX285.

Take it out of your system and check then. You are only like a 100 points over my CPU score when I'm at 4.4.
