Hardware is so far ahead of software right now it's ridiculous.

Honestly, there's no point in wasting money on the 3gb if you're only playing at 1920x1080.

Unless your gaming at 1600P or more, you've wasted money on a GTX 590.

A lot of it.

The Techspot review amoung others showed the 590 and 6990 struggling heavily under eyefinity-3D surround setups. Many games unplayable until you turn the resolution and settings down.

Neither card can max out the demanding games or even close to it by themselves with the eyecandy on at higher triple monitor resolution's. Not hating just saying.

Dirt 3 might be worth it though!
Its an easy game to run so that should look and run ok.
I havent bought the card or the mobo, CPU yet? basically my sig rig has totally died.... The thing crashes constantly, cant have any new(ish) game running for more then 20 minutes without an issue... Sometimes wont start, sometimes HD isnt recognized all in all its nakered. So im diving in and rebuilding..... But trust me mate my sig rig maxes no game out... The only game i actually set to max recently was Counter Strike... lol

I have worked hard to save money for the new rig im referring too and i have no pain in going OTT for it...... Its gunna be my babey, one and only... Girlfriend isnt too happy mind

To be honest for the money differencet the 3GB was more of a logical decision then anything and it worked well with future plans.... But there is nothing really on the internet in terms of reviews and owners opinions where as for the 1.5 there are loads

Metro maxed out at 2560x1600 chokes on a 1.5GB card, since you run out of VRAM. So a 3GB would come in handy at 2560x 1600. Might benefit future games as well at 2560x 1600 resolution.
