Hey guys i wanna get more outta my system (sig rig) in Eyefinity, i either thinking of getting 6970s with the same rig and maybe the new H100 from Corsair for better cooling........or should i upgrade my rig to a i7 2600k or i5 2500k with a new sata 3 ssd and keep my 6870s in Crossfire........i figure its cheaper if i go with the 6970s and keep my sig rig........

Which is better...........

2600K

Keep the H50, you will get 4.5Ghz easy with the 2600K on it.
EDIT: buy 2x 6970 if your 6870's aren't good enough

Get a third 6870 perhaps.
Get a third first of all you cant CF more than twice.......and there isnt that much mobos that has triple cf avail for 1155 (mind you that is a decent price)

EDIT well my 6870s are good for most games except BFBC2 in Eyefinity and on DX11......it still runs fairly good but does go into the low 30fps when the screen is busy.....im also worried about the upcoming BF3 i wanna make sure that my rig is ready for that game CAUSE that will be my new game that i will playing!!!!!!!!!!!! cant wait

I agree get a 2600k and ssd, you should get a nice boost in freamrates with one. Also in fall the new gfx cards will be release with a lot more power than now so hold off on the card upgrade.

well i dont want to spend too much money considering the gpu market seems to be ahead of the gaming industry as of right now........i would like to think i want to stick to either 6870CF with higher end system (2600k) or Q9550@4.1ghz with 6970CF (sig rig) which is the better option considering price vs. performance???????

You should absolutely go with the 2600k and SSD. Just to give you an idea, I have a 2600k and H50 and I am currently @ 4.9 GHZ, stable, with acceptable temps. You will get quite the performance boost.

Under load i rarely go over 66 c. Performance wise your 6870's are nothing to sneeze at to begin with so in my opinion, adding a 2600k and SSD would be the best route. Your video cards perform better than a single 6970 (which can play anything you can currently throw at it) so I think you are fine in the GPU department. A 2600k will give you large gains.

Just my opinion.

I concur with the 2600K, I went from a Q9550 w/ a single 470 to my current rig
with a single 470 and my game play in BFBC2 improved noticeably, mind you only when
the screen gets real busy.

It is know that BFBC2 is more CPU dependent then GPU,

How much v-ram do your cards have
