My Dual Link Port Has Stopped Working....

I posted this in the watercooling section but figured it would be better off in here.

Last night i put a waterblock (EK 6970 v1) on my Gigabyte 6950 2GB (ref version) and everything was working fine. I turned the pc off before i went to sleep, woke up this morning, turned the pc on and the display remained blank (went into power saving mode etc)
I pulled the card out (Didnt think to check the other ports before doing so) the heatsink looked to be making good contact and there is no damage to the vid card so i put the stock heatsink back on, the dual link port still wasnt working, however the other ports (Single Link DVI/HDMI) appear to be working fine, however i get green flashes at the bios/post/irq screen changes over hdmi (i didnt check before swapping the waterblock over though)
I have strapped the waterblock back on and the dual link dvi port still seems to be dead.

I've tried the stock bios and connecting a tv to the card via a hdmi-dvi plug and there is no change.

Its strange that it suddenly stopped working overnight especially considering the pc was turned off.

Any opinions on what i should do?

I would just assume it was a coincidence and RMA it. Just tell them it stopped working and you tried it on a different computer and monitor already, basically just play dumb.

Yeah, i figured that was about my only option, never seen/heard of something like this happening before. Sucks balls though as this is a nice overclocker. I'll be PISSED if they try to give me a non ref board too

Well I had the same thing when I bricked one of my 5850s. I flashed the bios on both cards then booted and it would black screen when i got into windows and loaded the drivers. I just tried one at a time and found out it was my secondary card that didnt take the flash so well. I just put the original bios back on and the original hsf and they ended up sending me a new one. That was sapphire, not sure who you have but I am sure they will take it.
