Other than newegg, where can I find the lightning or lightning XE?

It had been on sale for the last two weeks, plus you can always price match.

To actually do these reviews is time consuming, and even if I provided it months ago it might not go up in the timeframe that is planned.

I provided HardOCP with this board sometime toward middle of April, but then Z68 launch was ramping up, as was 990FX and a few other things. It literally got posted as fast as it could, and given what Brent @ HardOCP had to work with time-wise, it came out relatively on time.
It can't be that hard to do the same kind of review over and over after a few years. At some point you should be able to refine the process and become more efficient. They make it sound like it's hard work. Harder than working 8 hours a day plus an hour of lunch and driving to/back? Are they just busy playing games all day or something?

HAHA...

OK, you try and run a review site then.

Every single review starts with OS reinstall, from scratch. The gaming benchmarks? Each one is at least a good 10-20 minutes long. Run it in loops, capture it, analyze data, then you actually start writing.

If it was that easy I'd start my own site.

I don't see how this is harder than working a desk job or at a factory. If you enjoy hardware and gaming this should actually be a little fun with freedom to work at your pace.

If you're using the same system for GPU reviews you should be cloning the OS all patched up excluding drivers. With the speeds of SSds today reiterating cycles are at a minimum. Capturing and analyzing should be a streamlined process by now.

Even after all those years of reviewing, Brent still makes common mistakes like assuming that clock speeds have nothing to do with multiple card scaling performance. Isn't their site name HardOCP? There's no way they're investing 8 hours a day on reviews like a normal 9-5 person does with their job. I see better jobs done in posts here on OCN.
