Is This an Issue of my Motherboard? USB failing

Hey guys,

I have a problem with my computer. Let me provide some background...

I recently built my new computer, and the stats are below.

I have been running my Sector 5 8GB ram at the XMP profile (1334 mhz) with the timings, voltage and everything set up as auto. This bumps the volts to 1.66. On stock voltage and timing, the ram runs at 1066 instead at the normal 1.5v. Today, while browsing the web, all of my peripherals shut off. I have a light up keyboard which turned off, my MyBook green ring turned off, and my Tt Gaming mouse turned off. I had to do a manual reboot from the box as I couldn't do anything in Windows.

This has happened twice today. So I have moved my RAM speed back to the stock 1066 and 1.5v and have been on for about an hour with no freezing of the usb devices. Do you think its my RAM voltage that is screwing up my motherboard? Do you think the mobo is faulty? Has anyone else experienced this? I just find it weird that my PC has run smoothly for about 3 weeks, and then I moved the RAM timings to the XMP profile last night and have had 2 issues today. My build is in my sig, except the RAM being back to 1066. Any thoughts from the experts is greatly appreciated!

When you were at 1333 did you notice if Command Rate was at 1t or 2t? Try 1333 again and set Command Rate manually to 2t.

It was at 2t. I have had lots of problems with this RAM not running at 1333 but being rock-solid at 1066, pretty frustrating. I'm thinking of doing a return of the RAM to Micro Center and put it towards a better spec RAM.

I remember now that when I ran Memtest at 1066, no errors after 12 hours, at 1333, seeing red within 15 minutes.

Tried raising VC00 Voltage when at 1333?

As soon as I saw MyBook I had a deja vu. I own a few MyBook drives and I am going to be honest with them. I will never buy them again. My USBs are going haywire on my stock laptop because of them . This happens because of the drives. Even if they are turned off, something gets wrecked in either your OS or with the USB voltages .

This is good to know. I just got another seagate external, so i am going to copy files to it and probably sunset the mybook.

Also, i think I am going to return my RAM for another brand as I don't like it at all.
