Whaaaat, I never got wind of that! Oh well, I bought it shortly after that last post anyway.

WOOOOHOO! I still play Raven Shield at times. I hope Ubifail doesn't mess things up, again.

Yeah, I'll be following this closely.
I still fire up Raven Shield for a quick Terrorist Hunt every now and then. Couldn't be bothered with the Vegas ones....too far away from the style and spirit of the first 3 games in the series.
As others have said, I'm a bit wary since it is UBI, after all.

I really WANT to believe it will be a "return to it's roots". But, I gotta wonder, just how many people ( both gamers AND developers) actually know what a tactical-shooter even is anymore....much less how to make one.

Fingers crossed !

EPIC FAIL. Business as usual.

In this still-to-be-titled Rainbow Six, players will be tasked with stopping a homegrown terrorist group operating in America. The group, fed up with the greed of Wall Street and the government that acts to protect them, decides to target New York City.

While the gameplay is based on some classic Rainbow Six mechanics, there is a cover system that takes you out of the first-person perspective and into the third.

A new icon-rich graphics style helps to highlight members of your team during a mission and other pertinent information.
Looks like it will be just like Vegas, only with a "new direction", more cinematic than ever.

I just finished playing Vegas 1 and Vegas 2...for some odd reason; was bored, Vegas 2 was pretty fun. I really liked the character customiztion feature. AI was stupid, graphics were "ok", but the gameplay was fun. Looking forward to play this Rainbow Six.

I concur Narsil, the main key to Rainbow Six would be returning to its roots to really differentiate itself from the rest. Unlimited, it benefits us with the many choices from running and gunning in COD to full scale battles with BF to pure tactical gameplay.

I still remember switching my time between COD1 and Ravenshield.
