Swiftech 35X - Fan Controller

Does anyone know if you can run this pump from a fan controller rather than a molex or do you plug one cable into the molex and the other to the fan controller bearing in mind the fan controller also provides power?

The pump is going to be used on a Asus P5K system which has poor PWM control i.e. slow, medium and fast and I want the option of more control than that. For some reason Speedfan doesn't seem to allow control of PWM on this board so I can't use that either and I've never liked it anyway. The system does have a Lamptron FC2 fan controller which I believe is PWM but the instructions for the pump don't cover this scenario.

the pump only has 2 wires on the PWM connector anyhow, so I have mine hooked up for power to the molex and the PWM going to my mobo and using speedfan to control it.

set it up like this 5 mins ago, ran some tests and it works like a charm. so hook it up to the FC2 with the PWM and control it from there, but give it power from the molex.

Ah, thank you. I thought it had 4 wires on the PWM connector. The pump doesn't arrive until tomorrow so I wasn't sure. I've now looked more closely at the pictures and can see that now.
